Susan Koeller grew up in the Philadelphia area, was active in various sports, and played field hockey and softball competitively. She first became interested in physical therapy while volunteering at a rehabilitation hospital. She pursued a career in Physical Therapy as a way to incorporate her interest in athletics along with making a difference for others. While attending Ithaca College, she played field hockey and earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation in 1990, she moved to the Boston area and began her career at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Sue joined Professional Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in 1994, and earned her certification in hand therapy (CHT) in 1997 from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.

In her free time, Sue enjoys spending time with her family, waterskiing in the summer, and various outdoor activities.
